Background
Paris based, but with Russian origins and a global outlook, ALEX+SVET Rainous gives free rein to their overflowing creativity. Alex, an Engineering graduate switched into Fashion Styling & Pattern-making and got a diploma from the International Fashion Academy Vauclair. He learned and grew professionally in Ready-to-Wear and Haute Couture ateliers (Kenzo, Hermès, Mugler, Montana, Balenciaga, Balmain, Lacroix). Svet, graduated of State University of Saint-Petersburg (Russia) pursuing her studies at College of Modern Art and Design (ESAM, Paris). A graphic artist, colorist and scenographer, she turned her passion into a career. Together Alex and Svet launch a new brand alt&GO in 2000. From the very beginning they introduced unconventional materials into their work, creating alternative jewelry, fashion accessories and decorative objects. Since 2015, limited edition and one-of-a-kind designs “hallmarked” ALEX+SVET are developed in parallel with alt&GO “casual” collections. Youlia, graduated from the High School of Art and Design – ENSAD Paris is a “guest-designer” on some projects and overlooks the graphical and communication facets
From their very first steps, they are acclaimed for various distinctive events such as: exhibition “Modes à Suivre, Paris et ses jeunes talents” at Palais Galliera – Paris Fashion Museum, special designs for fashion shows (Christian Lacroix), theatre plays, TV ads and department stores, Galeries Lafayette, Printemps Haussmann, publications in A Lark Jewelry BOOK “The Art Of Jewelry, Plastic & Resin” by Debra Adelson and “500 Plastic Jewelry Designs”.
ALEX+SVET [alt&GO] designs are available in Design & Modern Art museum stores and also in Art Galleries, Concept and Design Stores all around the world (France, USA, Canada, Japan, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Netherland, Russia, South Korea etc.)
